Annabelle first fell in love with physiotherapy at a young age whilst competing competitively in rowing. Not only did rowing introduce and highlight the mental and physical benefits that accompany exercise, but also how much having an injury can hinder not just sports performance but function in everyday life. From her own injury rehab she discovered the importance of providing rehab and training for people to not only allow them to reach their goals but also prevent reinjury and provide long-term rehab plans to optimise their function.
Annabelle completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Otago, New Zealand and recently moved to Australia to continue her career here. Annabelle instills a patient centered approach using a combination of techniques and exercise rehabilitation. Annabelle aims to promote and improve people’s health, break down and investigate the source of a person’s pain, versus just treating the symptoms, and be apart of the journey from start to finish. Whilst improving people’s quality of life and everyday function.
Annabelle has a special interest in sports physiotherapy as she is an avid sports person herself, however she also incredibly passionate about helping those with lower back pain and lower limb injuries regardless of where the injury/pain orignated from.
In her spare time you can find Annabelle trail running, mountain biking and when there’s snow skiing on the mountains.
