Carmen’s passion for injury rehabilitation stemmed from having developed her own recurring sports injuries over the years throughout her childhood and adolescence. She never received the correct care or support, so Carmen made it her mission to not only rehabilitate her own injuries but to make sure the same thing didn’t happen to others.
Originally from Scotland, Carmen graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours).
Carmen enjoys treating various musculoskeletal injuries with a particular interest in sports. She has shown this through working with various rugby and hockey teams by rehabbing athletes and ensuring they achieve their goals by providing the tools they need to get better, stay better, and become more resilient. Her sporting experience has provided her with excellent knowledge of injury prevention, management, and rehabilitation strategies.
Whilst Carmen enjoys treating sporting injuries, she also likes rehabbing all other areas of the body including the lower back/spine, hips, knees, ankles, women’s health, and pediatrics.
Carmen loves incorporating pilates into her rehab methods and has completed her Level 1 & 3 APPI matwork qualifications. She teaches clinical pilates throughout the week and has pursued her interest further by developing her skills and combining reformers and trapeze. Carmen has used pilates as a big part of her own rehabilitation and enjoys combining pilates with general strength and conditioning to help individuals achieve their goals.
