Dominque (Niquee) Abayon

Lower limb sporting injuries, post-operative care & exercise-based rehabilitation

Dominique (Niquee) (She/Her) graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy from Riverside College Inc, Philippines in 2016. In her younger days, she competed as a rhythmic gymnast, and this sparked her interest in the sports physio industry. She worked as a full-time physio in a sports medicine center in Manila, part-time collegiate team physio, and casual Uni lecturer.

After a few years of working back home, she decided to quench her passion, travel, and expand her skillset, by moving to Australia to chase her love of the sporting culture here. She has traveled extensively with sporting teams and has recently worked for the Philippine National Team in the 22nd South East Asian (SEA)Games, and the 2022 Asian Games.
Niquee has worked with athletes ranging from recreational, collegiate, and professional.

These include:

  • Philippine Rhythmic and Artistic Gymnastics (2023)
  • Philippine Taekwondo (2023)
  • Philippine Soft Tennis (2023)
  • Ateneo De Manila University Men’s and Women’s Volleyball (2017-2021)
  • Ateneo De Manila University Junior Basketball (2017)

Niquee finds it incredibly rewarding to be able to help people get back to doing what they love or improve their performance. She incorporates manual therapy and an exercise-based approach for optimal results. Niquee genuinely enjoys getting to know her clients, empowering and motivating them with her natural positive attitude, and delivering the best outcome with a smile on her face.

Away from work, you’ll find her watching gigs as she’s an avid fan of music, enjoying the beach and local cafes, or exploring Melbourne’s vibrant scenes and attractions.
