Maddy is a Physiotherapist who recently relocated to Melbourne and couldn’t be happier to help and work with the fantastic inner-north community. She completed her training in Sydney, graduating from Western Sydney University with a Bachelor of Health Sciences and a Master of Physiotherapy. Maddy previously worked in a busy private practice on the south beaches of Sydney, helping clients from all walks of life with spinal pain and sports injuries.
Maddy’s passion for becoming a Physiotherapist came from her own experience as a teenager, suffering from a medical condition with chronic headaches, joint pain, and neuromuscular weakness. After getting through her years of intensive rehabilitation, she was amazed at the human body – its resilience and ability to recover with the correct guidance. Maddy’s interest stems from helping those experiencing chronic musculoskeletal pain, particularly in the spine and upper limbs. She has undergone further specialised training to effectively treat Neck/Thoracic spinal dysfunction, Headache & Migraines, and TMD (jaw pain). Maddy also has experience as a Physiotherapist with the NSW and Australian Touch Football teams supporting their elite athletes of all ages (from juniors to over 60s) during their state and Australian tournaments. She understands the importance of an effective management plan to safely get her clients back on the field and prevent further complications.
Maddy genuinely enjoys helping others and strives to relieve her client’s symptoms and address the underlying causes to prevent reoccurrence and improve overall well-being. She does this using various manual therapy techniques, dry needling therapy, and individualised exercise prescription. She is a strong advocate for empowering each client to play an active role in their recovery through a tailored home exercise program she develops or with her clients during our Clinical Pilates classes.
